Its old but some guy made a companion cube and a cake to go with it.

Still Alive Lyrics

This was a triumph
I’m making a note here: huge success
It’s hard to overstate my satisfaction
Aperture Science
We do what we must because we can
For the good of all of us
Except the ones who are dead
But there’s no sense crying over every mistake
You just keep on trying till you run out of cake
And the science gets done and you make a neat gun
For the people who are still alive

I’m not even angry
I’m being so sincere right now
Even though you broke my heart and killed me
And tore me to pieces
And threw every piece into a fire
As they burned it hurt because
I was so happy for you
Now these points of data make a beautiful line
And we’re out of beta, we’re releasing on time
So I’m glad I got burned, think of all the things we learned
For the people who are still alive

Go ahead and leave me
I think I’d prefer to stay inside
Maybe you’ll find someone else to help you
Maybe Black Mesa
That was a joke, ha ha, fat chance
Anyway this cake is great
It’s so delicious and moist
Look at me still talking when there’s science to do
When I look out there it makes me glad I’m not you
I’ve experiments to run, there is research to be done
On the people who are still alive

And believe me I am still alive
I’m doing science and I’m still alive
I feel fantastic and I’m still alive
And while you’re dying I’ll be still alive
And when you’re dead I will be still alive
Still alive
Still alive

oshi-

I have been having this weird popup popping up recently on my dads Windows XP netbook that i have been using recently because my Ubuntu Laptop has a dead plug and broken hindge, and my desktop running xubuntu is loud. But i learned within just a few days of using it why i left Windows for Greener UNIX pastures anyway.

Virus’s suck – Esp. because they are more and more likely to make  it so that you cannot do anything about it. Case in pooint the viruses that i am currently dealing with Have managed to stop Spybot Search and Destroy from working anymore, have broken AVG and itsw firewall and i have only recently figured out how to get malwarebytes to run. It sucks so bad, not even funny.

And apperantly that popup is a fake that when clicked will reinstall my virus and prob break everything.

*cry*

This would be about the worst way to die, and in other news Xbox360 is awesome and also 1vs100 is addictive, that is all.

Ipod just spazzed out earlier, tried to sync it using Foobar2000 because i wanted something that didnt force me into completely restoring my iPod just to add “Angels Remix” 06 – Angels.

Me beliving that because i was on a windows machine as opposed to my usual Ubuntu boxes it should be simple was of course wrong, it totally Freaked out and i had to restore my entire iPod – Which sucked.

Oh well at least this time i will rebuild my Mp3 library slowly and make sure my ID3 tags are in proper order, of course using “completely legal” sources.

Wow, that was like- Wow.

Ok then im- wow.

At first i was like ok kinda random doing poetry as a senator, but then i was like wow(wow) – a partisan night before Christmas speech. This was interesting i’ll just say – I take Roland Burris so Seriously now, Only thing it could be better is if it was rapped, oh and Sen. Burris wore a gold chain, etc.

Crazy

I will admit, it was both unexpected and original.

I decided that i need to learn a programming language that can be used to program a desktop app or something like that. So after a bad experience with C++ (Not so bad but just confusing).  Learning some python and kinda liking it, and Wishing i could find a language that looked and worked exactly like PHP (A language i have some experience in from experimenting with crap and the fact that i ran many a website over the years)i decided that learning Java is what i’m gonna do.

It has its benefits such as the fact that a .jar can run on basically and platform, and uses syntax similar to C++, C#, etc, and there is plenty of online help for it (Probably about as easy to google a problem in Java as it is to google a issue your having in PHP or on Ubuntu)

Oh and i found great Video Tutorials,

Programming Methodology , has great lectures and is great even if you have no clue whatsoever.  I have most of these on my iPod and its great for learning random stuff (although i had the hardest time getting the ACM libraries working with my xubuntu install of Eclipse (They only had prepackaged zips for Windows & Mac. (Might show how i got it working later on)

Here are some good youtube tutorials by thenewboston, they’re pretty good but i have no clue why he doesn’t have the main class extend something that would make it less tedious to type “System.out.println(“foo”);” every five seconds, but admittedly i learned more from his tutorials than i did from the Stanford lectures, i’m on 36  right now and they’re great. Also he did C++ and Intermediate Java tutorials, also Java Game Programming Tutorials

Overall Goal?, Make a game for Android and feel awesome because i figured that much stuff out and could manage it.
